Some Features

Junior Showcase - We start the weekend activities Friday afternoon by featuring
       young fiddlers' talents.

Practice Rooms: Two Practice Rooms and two keyboard house accompanists will be available. While one accompanist is playing with the contestants, the other will be available in a Practice Room. The accompanists will play alternating classes so that fiddlers will have the opportunity to practice with the house accompanist who will be available on stage for that class. As in previous years you can still have your own accompanist rather than using one of the house accompanists.

Intermediate classes (19-54) - There are two classes:

  • Intermediate: for the lesser experienced, and
  • Advanced Intermediate: for the more experienced who could, but do not wish to compete in the Championship Class.

Championship class - Order of Play for the final round is more flexible.

Alberta Open class - The competition rules are closely aligned with the
       Canadian Grand Masters competition rules.

Radway

Radway, a serene farming community, comes alive when the Grand North American Old Time Fiddle Championship is in town. This is the eighth year that the Wild Rose Old Tyme Fiddlers Association has chosen the Radway Agricentre, an excellent facility in which to host the annual Competitions.
