To the 35th Annual GRAND NORTH AMERICAN OLD TIME FIDDLE CHAMPIONSHIP. The Wild Rose Old Tyme Fiddlers Association are very excited and proud to extend a hearty welcome to all with the hope that you enjoy your time with us.

AGRICENTRE, RADWAY, ALBERTA -- HWY 28, Northeast of Edmonton

Online Registration is available for Event Participant and/or Fiddle Contestant at SquareUp Store. Payment may be made by credit card. Look under Contest/Registration tab to find out more.

Fiddle Contestant Registration may also be downloaded, printed, and emailed to wildrosefiddlers@gmail.com or sent to the Wild Rose Old Tyme Fiddlers Association, #1588, 5328 Calgary Trail NW, Edmonton AB, T6H 4J8. Fiddle Contestant Registration form, in Adobe Acrobat or in Microsoft Word.   Payment may be made to the Wild Rose Old Tyme Fiddlers Association by cheque or money order.

Registration may be done in person at the Championship. Payment options include cheque, money order, cash or credit card.

Contestants must be registered prior to the previous class being called to play, and in all cases no later than 11:00 a.m. on the day of your class.

  • One free adult weekend pass per family for contestants registered in Junior and Junior Junior classes.

The Radway Agricultural Society
will host the weekend Concession and the Buffet-style Supper on Saturday night. Buffet Tickets are available directly from the Radway Ag Society. The cost is $21.00 for the first 200 tickets sold at the concession or phone 780-736-3766 to reserve your ticket.

Practice Rooms: Two Practice Rooms and two keyboard house accompanists will be available. The accompanists will play alternating classes so that fiddlers will have the opportunity to practice with the house accompanist who will be available on stage for that class.

Some Significant Changes

  • Contestants must be registered prior to the previous class being called to play and in all cases no later than 11:00 am on the day of your class. Online registration is available.

  • Junior Showcase: Starts later in the day and runs from 6:00-7:30 pm.

  • Twin Harmony: There will be only one Twin Harmony Class. - It is for all ages.

  • Contestants can enter both Specialty Classes: Twin Harmony and Traditional.

  • Alberta Open and Championship Classes: Final Round is four tunes and can be played in any order.

Radway

Radway, a serene farming community, comes alive when the Grand North American Old Time Fiddle Championship is in town. This is the seventh year that the Wild Rose Old Tyme Fiddlers Association has chosen the Radway Agricentre, an excellent facility in which to host the annual competitions.
